'Revolution' portrays the resilience of human resistance against the machinery of oppressive systems. The protestor, symbolically depicted as larger and above than the tank, represents the overwhelming power of collective will, overshadowing the might of state and military intervention. The tank, representing the state’s force, is rendered small in comparison, signifying its inability to quash the people's spirit. The abstract yellow line is a protective barrier, symbolizing an immunity field that shields the protestor from the state’s aggression. This yellow hue conveys a deeper meaning—divine or righteous protection of human rights and freedoms, reinforcing the idea that the people's moral cause is invincible, even in the face of violent repression. The state's force, while physically powerful, is ultimately ineffective against this ethical and spiritual defense. "You can kill a revolutionary, but you can't kill a revolution" captures the painting's core theme: while individuals can be suppressed or destroyed, the ideals they fight for are eternal and untouchable. The work reflects the enduring power of revolutionary movements and the moral righteousness that protects and sustains them.
